I think that monument was built to respect and represent all of the people that lost their lives during the holocaust years.I also believe it was built because their was also a law that said Jews could not have radios or speakers to listen to music so it might also stand for that.
I noticed the laws that were getting passed were despicable,because they couldn't have owned a store ,they could not own fur coats ,they couldn't eat certain type of foods and only because they were Jews what I noticed is that Hitler tried to take away every they had from food to clothes to education.
A restriction I would have had problems with the most has to be no pets and no jobs.I would really angry about those because first if you have no job you can't buy items because you have no money.Also if you do not have money you can not pay your rent and you might get kicked out off your house.I would also say the no pet rule because pets are like your best friend and losing your friend or animal or pet can be hard,I've lost a pet before and it wasn't so pleasing.
